At PEOPEO, we're always on the lookout for novelty and excellence in the products we make. So far, the VOODOO Boombox, our first Bluetooth speaker, has fully lived up to this promise! You only have to look at the feedback from the #VOODOONation to understand this.
However, we have embarked on a research and development process, during 2021. This R&D phase has been guided by desires, ideas and above all by the #VOODOONation, to whom we always lend a very attentive ear! 😉
So now we're going to present the direction in which we've taken our iconic VOODOO Boombox loudspeaker, transforming it into the VOODOO+!
Visible novelties
As you may have noticed, the VOODOO+ remains on the same cabinet base. We're sticking with a linen fiber shell handmade in France, so the Green Vibe is still very much present, as is Bass Reflex acoustic technology. By keeping these two key elements, we retain the robustness, lightness and original style of the VOODOO Boombox loudspeaker, and above all, the physical feel of the sound. It's impossible for us to imagine a loudspeaker without a REAL feel for low frequencies! 🙂
The real change in VOODOO+ is in the brain. The Blue Vibe has been given a facelift, and emerges bigger than ever. We've swapped our old amplification system, control motherboard and analog crossover for a single board that combines all these properties, with improvements in functionality, ergonomics and quality, no less!
The novelty of the VOODOO+ is crystallized visually in its super-friendly interface with the following:
- - 3 sound settings for different types of use. In fact, the new amplification mode integrating a Digital Sound Processor (DSP) allows different sound set-ups depending on the environment you're in! So there's an Indoor Mode, an Outdoor Mode and, above all, a Party Mode! We'll take the time to develop and explain this in more detail in a future article 😉
- - An inciting volume level indicator that leaves no one indifferent and encourages general vibration!
- - A battery level that means you'll never be surprised by the battery's charge level. All the while knowing that the autonomy has been well inflated to be between 9h at full power and 28h at low volume!!! It remains to be seen who will tire first, the dancer or the VOODOO+ 😉
- - The ergonomics of source selection have been redesigned for much simpler use. It's now child's play to synchronize Bluetooth and Mini-Jack inputs. Now it's all too easy to lay a flow on the microphone input (cable) over a heavy beat on the Bluetooth input!
- - A little extra function to make sure the killjoy who wants to turn the sound down can't: a Lock-mode! Once activated, all interface buttons become inactive! 😀
Hidden innovation
What you can't see on the interface, but which is essential, is the amplification! In the case of the VOODOO+, it offers even more power via its new 2 x 150 watt dual-channel amplifier system, equipped with a saturation detector. With the two amplification channels managed independently, the integrated DSP enables much finer tuning of the sound and an even more qualitative rendering via a parametric equalizer giving us access to all the VOODOO+ sound parameters. The result: a sound with even greater dynamics, precision and quality!
The VOODOO+ is also equipped with the latest generation of Bluetooth 5.0, compatible with Apple and Android, so you won't lose a crumb of quality even without the cables! 😉
In conclusion, the VOODOO+ follows in the footsteps of the VOODOO Boombox and intends to make its own way by thrilling, federating and bringing together all music lovers!
The only condition is to make it smile, so that it can give its best!
