At PEOPEO, we're always thinking of ways to improve the VOODOO speaker. Beyond the product itself, we're thinking about how to make it easier to use in all circumstances.
One element we've been working on for a long time is now officially complete: side pockets.
It may sound simple, but it takes real know-how to create a textile piece that can withstand outdoor conditions and adapt it to a rigid support, both in terms of shape and fastening, all the while integrating a local, sustainable dimension and made in France!
That's why we naturally turned to 727 Sailbags, a French company specializing in luggage and sustainable textiles, with a strong commitment to sustainable development and "producing in France".
As sailing enthusiasts, they create collections inspired by the sea, using 100% recycled boat sails. By giving these sails a second life, 727 Sailbags share their sailing experiences and emotions. They transform them into luggage, ready-to-wear items and decorative objects. In so doing, they slow down the cycle of degradation of these sailcloths, while promoting the value of traditional craftsmanship. They do this with humanity and authenticity, but also with high standards and transparency. Thanks to a limited stock of each sail model, each piece is unique, with guaranteed French origin.
To arrive at our final objective, we started by imagining a side pocket concept, with the idea of being able to carry your VOODOO charger and/or your phone, sunglasses and lots of other things without weighing your hands down!
Following on from this, and after several technical proposals made in the 727 Sailbags prototyping workshop and choices of sails to ensure that we had the fabrics best suited to our needs in terms of color, tear resistance, water resistance, etc., we opted for a technical solution enabling the closure to be adapted according to the object we put in it. The pocket is equipped with a double snap system, so it can be closed in two positions to adapt its useful volume.
We're proud and happy to be working with 727 Sailbags, thanks to whom we've been able to achieve our goals with a product that's French-made, durable, solid and that re-uses materials for the lowest possible environmental impact!
